Mama's Car = Awesome Toy

I'm pretty sure he would sit in the car all night long if I'd let him.  And now that I think about it, that might be a great idea.  He doesn't know how to open the doors, so he can't get out... as long as I have the keys, he's not actually "trapped"... he's got plenty of room to run around... if the keys aren't in it, he can't actually GO anywhere... why have I been hiring baby-sitters???!!  (I'm kidding!  kinda.)  :)

Thank you for shutting the door.  Now please quit taking my picture.

Hidden Camera

Mom & Dad have a "scouting camera" behind their house to catch pictures of the deer that come up to eat the corn they put out for them.  (that's getting close to a run-on sentence, I believe...)

Anyway - It takes a picture when there is movement.  Here is a photo it captured when Dad (Pop) and Dex were feeding the deer one afternoon this weekend.  Dex loves to throw the corn on the ground, at Pop, wherever he can...and lots of it.  I'm sure the deer LOVE it when he comes to visit :)

SNOW!!

First (and hopefully last! ha!) snow of 2011!!  It is about 4 degrees outside, so it is COLD.  We only stayed outside long enough to get some pictures and let Dex look around and then us parents made the executive decision to get back in the house.  As you'll see in the last picture, Dex (and Dutch) were immediately ready to go back outside.  Even though Dex's snotty nose was completely frozen.  There were definitely tears when I tried to take his coat and shoes off...

And of course, once we got in the back yard, he wanted to go "wee" (swing).

Dex in Shoes... *surprise, surprise*

He is constantly in shoes.  He changes shoes about 3 times in the morning, and maybe 5 times after we get home.  It doesn't matter if they are his shoes, my shoes, or daddy's shoes.  He wants to put them all on.

Beautiful Park Day

Today was GORGEOUS outside.  This morning, we headed to the park near our house.  I would do this every day if I could!  Dex ran around all crazy and I just made sure he didn't fall off anything tall :)  Easy peasy!!  Especially since he's not exactly a daredevil child. 

He drove this steering wheel for a looooong time.  He knows he's not going anywhere, right?  

And it was just as much fun going UP the slide as it was coming down.  Maybe more.  I was actually impressed with his climbing skills.  Future rock climber?  Maybe? 

Haha!  I'm laughing remembering him fits of laughter in this tube slide!  It was the best. thing. ever. 

Mom?  Are you still up there??  (at this point I'd come down head-first and he'd run screaming and laughing across the playground.  So FUNNY!)

What a fun way to run out some energy!  I LOVE this weather!!!  Hurry up Spring!!
