Outside Playing

Seriously, I don't know if you guys know how bad it is at our house.  He wants to be outside from the minute we get home until the minute he goes "night, night" (one of the words he says that I actually understand).  We went out yesterday and I took my camera.

Okay, somebody tell me when he got so big.  Doesn't he look like a grown-up walking down the street??



This little game was fun for a LONG time.  He would sit on the curb and then lean himself backwards until he hit the grass.  Fun for Dex... confusing for Momma as to why it was so entertaining...

My grassy boy... I've been trying to teach him that it's okay not to wipe his hands every time he touches the ground.  This picture makes me proud   :)

Must Play Outside

Not that I can blame him.  He wants to play outside.  Always.  And if he can't, he cries.  By the back door.  Looking pitifully cute.  Until I finally take him to swing  :) 

Game #4 - TCU vs SMU

I can't believe there have already been 3 games... I think this season is going to fly by, and I'm none to happy about that!!  We'll be in Dallas this week, hopefully outnumbering the SMU crowd!  Everybody wear purple tomorrow!!!  :)

** Not in love with the Friday night game... me & Dex had to do a quick photo shoot tonight when I realized I wouldn't have a single minute tomorrow to do it before the game!

Coming home from Avaree's 1 year birthday party last night...  he got some Puffs in his "goody bag" and this is what he looked like when we got home.

Game #3 - TCU vs Baylor

Cannot believe I'm missing this game!!  Go Frogs!!!!

We went to the park to take some pictures for this week's game, and first he ran from me....

And then he hid....

*sigh*  it's going to be a hard season for the blog!!!  Anyone have any ideas of how to strap down an almost - 2 year old for a few candids??  :) 



LIGHT!

If you've been around Dex at all in the last few weeks, you'll know that he loves lights.  LOVES.  Every one he sees, he'll point to it, say "light" (dite), and want to turn it on and off.  and on and off.  and on and off.  You get the point. 

Well, it's kind of a pain for the adults around him, because we have to hold him for him to "play" with the switches.  Daddy Doug to the rescue!!  He taught Dex how to turn lights on and off via lamps!  Genius.  Now he can stand on our couch and turn the lamps on and off all he wants and we can just sit back and watch!
