Rainy Day - Grapevine SeaLife Aquarium

This weekend has been kind of the pits for doing anything outside.  It's rained and rained and rained.  And rained some more.

On Saturday, we went to the SeaLife Aquarium here in Grapevine.  It was neat to see all of the fish!  Not so neat to deal with all the major meltdowns and craziness that went along with it.  But I'm only going to talk about the fun/good stuff, because who wants to remember the other??  I sure don't (but that definitely doesn't mean it doesn't happen nearly every time we try to do something "fun" as a family.   And it also usually ends with me and Sean asking each other why we even bother!  Ha!).

This monster fish was still a baby.  The guide said it would grow to be the size of a small car!  Yikes!

Then we had Cookie Co. cookies (while Sean searched for his lost phone.  Yeah, we had a little bit of every kind of drama that day)!  The cookies were good though :)

Field Day

Dex had his Field Day at school today.  I must say, it was not quite the Field Day that I remember 20-some years ago (ahem).  

This is Dex and his partner with their 4th grade "chaperone."  He led them around to all of their stations and kept them in line.  He was soooo good with them.  Such a cutie :)

(Dex busted his lip two days ago... you can see it's kind of swollen and very bruised.  Poor guy.)

Did we have bounce houses at our Field Days???  Noooo.....

Is this a sport??!  Ha!

At least I know what basketball is :) 

And rope jumping.  Although they were just jumping rope... No competition of any kind.  Everyone's a winner, right Sean?  ;)

It was so much fun to watch some of this this morning!  Made my day, for sure :)

Anna's First Real Haircut

Have to document this for my girl :)  Her hair is so fine (GREAT genes) that when her hair is long, it gets super tangle-y... so, we definitely needed to do a trim.  Emi does a lot of our hair cutting around here!

Even More Snowy Pics

So after that whole ice/snow storm last week, we though we were through with winter.  Or else, I personally thought we were through.  NOPE!  Here are some final snowy pictures of our final snow day!  It was a really good day because it snowed overnight, so we woke up to whiteness EVERYWHERE, and then the sun came out while we played in it.  Glorious :)
