New Bath Time Pics

Dex has really started to get into his bath time.  If we are around his tub, he will grunt and point and try to get into it before I've even started running water.  And once he's in... well... don't stand too close, because water goes flying everywhere!  He laughs and laughs at himself for splashing and I'm pretty sure when I say "DEX, you're getting everything wet!  AAHHH!" he splashes even harder :)  One of the cutest things to watch... harder to take pictures, because I was trying to keep the camera out of the way of the flying water.  But here's a few I managed!

Peek-a-Boo

I'd say we play peek-a-boo around the ottoman almost every single night.  Dex loves it, it makes him giggle, and so I love it!  He'll squat down behind the ottoman and wait for a minute, then poke his head up and "find" me.  Here are a few pictures.  There's actually more than a few, but I thought there were so many cute ones :)

Also tonight, after I'd just said this weekend that we need to put this bouncy thing in storage, he decided he wanted to play in it.  So I took a picture of his last time before it goes away for good!  (Notice he'd found his beanie again...) 

Tia Time!

Aunt Tia (hehe) came to see Kerri Sean Dex this weekend.  And Dex decided to start cutting molars at the same time!  Woohoo, it's fun around here! 

But, I'm pretty sure having Tia around helped cut down on some of the whining and crying (along with good helping of baby Motrin) so I was definitely glad to have her here!  Plus, I love hanging with her, so there's that too :) 

First morning here, and she's already got him outside with no pants on!  Haha!

Playing peek-a-boo!

We went shopping and Dex ended up with two new shirts.  He enjoyed walking around the house carrying them.  He also carried a Chili's carry-out bag and the Nordstrom's sack.  Among other things.  All with no pants on.

Wearing a beanie he found somewhere in our house... that originally came from the NICU.  Over a year ago.  What does that tell you about us, his parents?  Either we are hoarders don't like to throw things away or Dex can magically find stuff that we didn't even know we had.

I said on http://www.ilikeliving.com/ that Dex likes to find random things and wear them all day.  Well, after Tia left yesterday, I found her old scarf and told him it smelled like Tia and wrapped it around his neck.  He didn't take it off until he went to bed!  He thought it was the best thing ever!  ha!  And he looks very GQ, I think :)

Random

This was going to be a lot of "Talkless Thursday" pictures, but then I decided I'd commentate, because it's fun for me :)  (and it's going to help me remember details when he gets older!)

Now that he realizes he doesn't have to just push this toy, he's pushing/pulling/lugging the thing all around the house...

Tonight, we played a lot with his sunshades.  He's reached the point where something funny once is funny a million times :)

Yes, he had blueberries again tonight.  Then a cookie (there are crumbs on his chin, I can see them!!)!

He's finally picked a toy he likes to hug on.  He's never had a blanket, lovie, pacifier, etc... his comfort (typically when he's sleepy) is sucking his thumb and twirling his hair.  But this little thing, he will rub his face on, hug, and apparently roll around on top of!  Lily's just glad it's not her anymore.

Tomorrow's Friday!!  And Tia's coming to visit!  YAY!!!

Blueberries & Fish Face

I know I seem to talk alot about blueberries lately, but Dex LOVES them.  We've got two big bags frozen at home, and he usually has them after supper most nights.  As you can probably tell, last night was one of those nights.  Stained lips and fingers :)  So cute! 

Oh, and his fish face has re-appeared.  And he thinks it's HILARIOUS.  He can barely keep his lips in position before he busts out laughing!  I went to get him out of bed this morning, and we were both laying on the big person bed in his room while he drank his morning milk, still sleepy and dark, and he just rolled over and looked at me for a second, then made his fish face and started laughing uncontrollably!  Haha!

It's a New Discovery Every Day

Dex has discovered that the door between our family/tv room and formal living room (aka baby stuff room) is great fun to close and have mom/dad open so that he can close it again!  Mom/dad's fun = 2 minutes.  Dex's fun = HOURS.

I'm just glad he somehow knows to keep his fingers out of the way of the slamming door.

Why are we taking pictures?  I need the door opened, please.
