Dex watches me put on my make up every morning. This was only a matter of time...
I think it's funny that he actually tried to put it on his eyelashes. I knew he was up to something when he went "missing" the whole time I was in the shower. I was right! ps. If anyone wants to give me an iPhone4, I'll take it. This crappy iPhone3 (?) I have does NOT take very good pictures of a wiggly 2 year old... :)
Final game of the conference today. I can't believe another year has come and gone. Being Thanksgiving week/weekend, here are some pics from one of our Thanksgiving meals... Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and/or friends! Go Frogs!!
Today is Prematurity Awareness Day - a day to remember, honor, and celebrate special babies. As I'm sure everyone knows, Dex was born at 25 weeks. He had a very small chance of living with no medical issues, and so far, we are extremely blessed!
I posted last year for this event, so I won't do a long post here. Just please take some time today to remember someone you know (or all of those you don't know) who delivered their babies too early.
Amanda (Dex's Tia) created a March of Dimes wristband in Dex's honor, so if you'd like to donate to March of Dimes, go here to do so in his name. And everyone get ready... because I want to start a team for the March for Babies Run next year in Dallas! :)
Dex - You are a very special little boy!! I LOVE YOU! And I thank God for you every single day!
Today is Sean's birthday!! Happy Birthday, Baby!!!
So....funny story. I ordered this belt buckle online as one of Sean's birthday gifts. Funny thing is, once it came in, we found out it was about the right size for a small toddler, although the order form said nothing about the fact that it was teeny tiny! haha! Guess we'll save it for Dex to wear in a few months :)
I guess I've finally decided that I've got to bust out the video for my posts (at least for the foreseeable future). Dex just won't sit still for pictures, and what he does every day is so funny, it's probably best portrayed through video. So... my goal is to move to more video going forward.
Tonight, after playing outside, eating in a "big person" chair (I use the word 'eating' lightly), playing outside again, talking to Emi & Pop on the phone, running countless circles around the island, etc, etc, Dex finally decided on playing on top of the ottoman. Oh, and with a nose-sucker. I pick my battles... (ps. the nose-sucker was clean)
"What's with the one shoe?" you might ask... Neither I nor Dex could find the other one after he insisted on wearing this one. Plus, he likes sliding around on the hardwood in his socks. Risky Business? Ummm, I hope not!
I don't know... didn't seem like I could say happy halloween when my child is not even in costume... Anyway - as you saw in the last blog, Dex did NOT wear his chicken suit, therefore we have no pictures to show! So here's one of him sitting with pumpkins and straw. It'll have to do.
