About Dex

I haven't taken any pictures of Dex or talked about him much on the blog in a while...  He's not a big fan of the camera these days, but I tried and was able to get a few photos anyway :)

He is a train FREAK.  He wakes up to play with trains on his bedroom floor... we bring the trains (that he slept with) downstairs to play a little more before he goes to school.  He takes one train with him to school.  He watches Thomas the Train videos on the way to school.  He comes home, tells me HI and heads straight for his play room to play with his trains until dinner.  Then more trains.  If he goes to our neighbors house to play, he wants to play trains.  When we go outside, he takes his trains.  He takes trains to bed with him.  We read train stories before bed, and then he sleeps with two trains that he's picked for the night.  He knows every train by name, he even knows what number each train has on their coal car (or engine).

Here he is racing Thomas and Rosie.  Intense.

About to race "one more time"!

This is his set-up in the play room.  It changes daily based on how he NEEDS (his word) the tracks configured.

Trains, trains, EVERYWHERE!

Even with the train obsession, he's a pretty good kid :)  I can already tell he's a little sensitive, tender hearted, definitely likes things just so and will let you know when they're not, extremely friendly, prefers to play with others rather than alone, talks constantly, is super sweet and obedient, and I know he will be a fabulous big brother!  He talks about the baby all the time and can't wait for her to get here "so he can share his trains and touch her."  Our neighbor just had her little baby and Dex constantly asks if he can go look at him and touch him.  Then he'll tell our neighbor "I'm going to have a baby sister!"

I made a wreath for my hospital door and when he asked what I was doing, I told him I was making the baby a present.  He looked at it and said "OH!  She's going to LOVE that!"  He even got to feel her hiccuping one night not too long ago, which was cool, because you could see his face light up when he actually felt it.

I just love him so much and can't believe we are now down to less than a week with only one child!  I am so excited to have both our babies home, but it's an end of an era!

Sweet little Declan :)  My firstborn and precious, miraculous little boy!  Here are a few pictures I got of him eating watermelon...  I don't know what was cracking him up so much or why he decided it was okay to look at the camera, but I'm sure it was me being a witty, hilarious mom!  Ha!

36 Weeks!

We are THIIIIIIS close!  :)  Two more weeks!  Whoop whoop!

I am able to move around more now, which is good because I've got several little projects that I want to get done before she gets here!

Baby weighs about 5 1/2 - 6 pounds right now.

C-Section is scheduled for Friday, July 27 (@ 38 weeks).  But if I go into labor before that, they'll go ahead and deliver her.

That's it for now!  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

35 Weeks!

Since I only had one doctor appointment this week, I have no update for you guys today :)  So, you get a couple pictures instead!  Now... before anybody gets all up in arms (MOM) about me taking these pictures, I took my shower as usual and fixed my hair and make-up while sitting down and then took laying down pictures and stood up for about 5 minutes for the others!  THEN, I sat down at my computer to edit.  So I'm still on bedrest, don't yell at me!!  ;)

Happy July 4th!!

Since yesterday was the 4th, I decided to do my bed rest duties in the pool :)  I might start doing this more often!

I feel like a celebrity in my bikini while mucho prego...  hahaha!

Sean set up a TV outside so we could watch the Ranger game and eat our home grilled burgers in the backyard.  (I'm drinking the big jug of water, not the beer ;P)  It was sooo nice to be outside!

Dex is still at Pop & Emi's house, but here's a couple of pictures of him in his new Captain America shirt.  I love this thing for some reason!

He even helped out at my parents firework stand for a little while.  Can you imagine him ever being as big as these boys?  I can't.

I wonder if he's telling them about his trains...

And eating snowcones with his "cousins..."  (My cousin's kids... what would that be?  Second cousins??)

I hope everyone had a very happy 4th of July!
