Game #9 - TCU vs UNLV

So... just to set this up... Dex was supposed to be a chicken for halloween.  Sean and I (and Tia) were going to be farmers.  I was even crafty enough to MAKE the chicken suit.  I was so proud of myself when I'd finished, because it looked just like I'd wanted it to... okay, so time to put it on Dex for a little preview!  Oh my gosh, can anyone say MELTDOWN?   He HATES it!!!  I have no idea what we're going to do now, but since our original plan for this post was to have him in his chicken suit and a TCU shirt, here's Dex standing next to the outfit.

Massive fail for momma.  I should have known.  But hey... GO TCU!!!

He won't even have the yellow boa (which makes up the chicken suit) around his neck!!  Haha!!  All I can do is laugh.

Game #8 - TCU vs Air Force

Let's SWING into action against Air Force!!!  (I will not take credit for the corny-ness of this blog)

From the look of these first two pictures, you would think we took him out and MADE him do his favorite thing to do in the whole world!!  I promise you guys he loves swinging!!

Playing with Sticks

As you will see below, Dex does everything in his power to not look at my camera (which is partly why I hardly post anymore).  I am not even joking.  He'd be walking one direction with the stick (away from me), and so I'd run to the other side of him, so that he'd be walking toward me, and he'd immediately turn around and go the other direction.  This would only happen if I had my camera pointed at him!!  What is his problem??!  haha!

He still plays outside every minute he can when we get home in the afternoons.  Yesterday was special, he found a really big stick that a bigger neighbor kid must have left behind.  He wanted to take it inside, but mean mommy said no.  :(

I have no idea how this happened.  I think I told him to come put the cap on my lens, and he turned around for a split second and I snapped.  His mouth is kind of funny and he's a tad blurry, but I don't care, you can see his eyes!!!

Crazy Little Man *

* Sean calls him this on a daily basis.

Dex was all ready to go to bed (as you can tell by his outfit) and wanted to go outside one last time, so I took him out.  He discovered my watering can this weekend and now plays with it pretty much any time we're outside.  He carried it down our front stairs (which was hilarious and I wish I had pictures, but he still wants to hold my hand when he steps down the stairs, so I couldn't very well take a photo at the same time) and then pushed it up and down the sidewalk.  He'd adjust it just how he wanted it, then start to push.  It was a very serious process.

Not sure about the tongue out, but let's be honest, does anyone ever really know why babies do what they do??

Game #6 TCU vs Wyoming

I LOVE his new jersey :)

Dex has been sick with croup the last few days (yes... AGAIN) and so seeing him play and smile for this week's game photos was a welcome change of pace!

Cutie Patootie

It was pretty cold this last weekend when we were at Pop & Emi's house.  And Dex loves to swing in his little car swing, which is outside.  So what to do?  Why, put him in a big ol' hat and blanket, of course!!
